Have just downloaded and installed all no problems, in fact very quick and easy. Thank You
I am about to try some changes, and thought I would first look for some docs, but a quick search has not been friutful.
I am hoping it will prove straight forward I think i see where to add my css, header, footer, etc. but wonder how to edit the form:
How can I add .com.au to the checkboxes on whois.php?
TIA
Ben

A couple of things:
You can edit the templates via the Edit Templates page (obviously).
To add an extension, first make sure it doesn't already exist in the script and is just disabled by default. Go to "Edit Nameservers" page and search for the extension that you want enabled. If the extension is there, make sure both the nameserver is enable AND the extension is enabled (if it is, it will be green).
If the extension isn't already part of the script you will need to find out what its nameserver is ( http://www.iana.org ). If the nameserver already exists in the list, add the extension to that nameserver's list. Otherwise, add a new nameserver.
Once the extension is enabled in the script, edit the search menu via the "Edit Templates" page. Change the Default Display Extensions and add your extension, without the initial dot (so com, net, org for example).
That should be it.
As far as the validator is concerned, you should use it as a tool and not an automatic detection mechanism. In other words, make sure you see what the nameserver is returning (which can be discovered by clicking on the output of the validate nameserver page).
You should use the validator as a debugging tool. In other words, you may want to try to force the validator to fail by specifying a known taken domain name and therefore allowing you to examine the nameserver's output. For example, I put in "domain" as the optional domain name on the validator page because I knew the domain was already taken and that should make the nameserver return whois info. I click validate and I can see that whois information is being returned correctly. I also see that the validation failed, which is good, since the validator was attempting to look for a mismatch (domain available). I can then go back, leave the optional domain blank to allow the script to generate a random (and almost certainly available domain) and see what the results are. Now the validator reports success and the nameserver output correctly shows that the domain is available. This tells me that the script is correctly connecting to the nameserver, correctly passing the query to the server, correctly retrieving the result of the server, and correctly parsing the output to check for the available keyword of that nameserver as configured in the script.
