Error handling

I've almost got the whois component working in my Joomla site, but I can't get it to stay on the same page when an error value is entered in the domain name field. I read the previous topic on this from a while back, and wondered if any further development has been done on this.

I've wrapped the main whois.php file as a Joomla module, and it works perfectly apart from when an error value is entered.

I don't have good enough php skills to write my own error handler. All I want to happen is the same as when a valid entry is made and for the error message to be written below the search box on the same page. I hope you can help, because I've tried a lot of other scripts and none of them is nearly as good as this one.

v2.30 now uses exceptions by default. Script can now be wrapped with a try ... catch such as:
