Not loging in properly

I did the CHMODing right, the members transphered fine, but when I try to log in from the CMS, it sends me to the forum. When I go back to the CMS, it asks me to log in again. When I try it sends me back. I can log in from the Admin CP of the CMS, and I can log into my forum. Please help.

First and foremost, which CMS (e107 or phpnuke)?

Secondly, ensure your setup is NOT in the form of:
subdomain.domain.com <-- forum
domain.com <-- cms

Both your forum and cms should be on the same domain, such as:
domain.com <-- cms
domain.com/forum/ <-- forum.

or some other folder combination, ect.

Additionally, running the script via localhost will cause problems with the cookie being set correctly.

You may want to use a browser that will let you troubleshoot whether or not the cookie is being set correctly (such as Mozilla Firefox).

If this is only happening with your administration / staff accounts AND you are using e107 then it may be that your passwords are offset. If this is the case then login to the forum and change your password as this will change the password for both accounts.
