First:
Realize that this is a script that hacks software that you already have installed. Currently it will combine PHP-Nuke/e107 with IPB (Invision Power Board).
When you installed your CMS (either PHP-Nuke or e107) you had to configure it with your database information, including your database username, password, name, and host.
You did the same when you installed Invision Power Board.
If you do not remember these values, you will have to look within the config files that are in each script's folder and copy over the values you find.
The only other information it asks for that you may not know:
database prefix: The prefix to your database. For the forum, it is probably "ibf_". For your cms, it depends on whether you are using php-nuke or e107. PHP-Nuke's default is "nuke_" and e107's default is "e107_".
The CMS type should be obvious. If you are using PHP-Nuke you select PHP-Nuke. If you are using e107 you select e107.
If none of the above made any sense to you then you should probably not install this script.

Well, the script works fine. So yes, that would mean you have put in wrong information.

well i copied and pasted what my Cpanel said, where might i find a hard copy of the MYSQL db that they were put into?
Well i found the E-107 Config File, but i cant find the IPB config File
The E-107 info is right, its the IPB stuff i cant seem to find.
What is the IPB config files name?
Well never mind my stupid IPB stuff now is denying that there is a MYSQL DB and is not coming up so thats just great, looks like i get to reinstall it for the 5th time, and talk to the web host because apparently i cant go 1 day with out running into problems with them.... well thanks for the help.... later

The IPB config is conf_global.php .
If you pay for your hosting, consider getting a new host ;) --- http://www.proto-host.com

Before you can continue, you must
CHMOD 0666 the following files:
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/class2.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/login.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/signup.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/user.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/usersettings.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/fpw.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack.php/e107_plugins/login_menu/login_menu.php
how do i do that? its cms_forum_hack.PHP! i went and found other ones of those but it still dosent work i searched every where and i cant find them, so i just found the normal ones of them and set those to 0666

If it lists the wrong files then it is likely that your absolute path is incorrect.
Go back and correct your absolute path.

/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack/class2.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack/login.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack/signup.php

/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack/fpw.php
/home2/ampair/public_html/cms_forum_hack/e107_plugins/login_menu/login_menu.php
none of those are in that file.. i assume i need to take out the CMS_forum_hack?
and by taking out the cms_forum_hack i got all but login, login is in handlers, so do i move it or keep it there?

Try using the search button on this forum. Heh, try viewing the last four topics of this fourm. I am sure they cover that issue.

well none of it makes sence, cant login/register at IPB, it takes you to E-107, cant do the same thing at E-107 because it takes you to IPB, its ridiculis

If that hack isn't working then it may because of a couple of things:
1. You have configured it improperly.
2. You have tried to install it on a version of CMS / forum other than the ones stated or you have tried to install it on heavily modified software.
3. You have tried to improperly install it on a setup where such an installation is impossible, such as a forum.domain.com and domain.com setup (instead of a domain.com/forums/ and domain.com for example).
That hack works and does exactly what it was intended to do for the versions of software that it lists. I cannot guarantee that it works when misconfigured or put into an environment where it is impossible to work.

the only reason i can think why it went wrong is because the second to last step it had little boxes where you could type stuff and i left them blank... but anyways i uninstalled it now, mainly since over 200 members now have to re register, and it wasent working
Major
Problems I had...
(uninstalled Script works)
*Redirecting when trying to login, or register
*Deleted ALL Members

The script deletes all CMS users and creates CMS users for all Forum Members.
The redirection is part of the script.

ya.... but it wouldent allow any one to login or register, it did redirect.... but no one to login from IPB or E-107 nor could they register, soon as i uninstalled all those problems were gone, so i dont know, i re installed it 2 times after and same problem... anyway later.

Wll i guess i will try this again, every one seems to want IPB to tie in pretty badly, so just what goes in those boxes?
