total hits error

How r u .This is my second time communicating with u.I admire ur script and have been using it.I guess i have problems with the total hits.The hits my web hosting company shows me and what i see from the counter is very different.can u check it out please and if there is a problem.The url is

The hits your webhosting company shows include ALL pages of your site. The hits the counter shows includes only the pages that the counter is on. Also, some hosting stats show "hits" for everything that is served from a page, including images, files, etc.

Thanks for the quick reply.So do u think it is working correctly.The visitors and hits figure is getting almost equal.Does the hits figure increment with every hit or is it Ip specific (doesnt matter if one user visit lots of pages?

The hits figure increments every time a page is loaded that has the counter on it.

If your hits and visits figures are about equal, then it is likely that visitors are simply viewing the first one or two pages of your site.

I have one last question.Does the "peple online" figure increment when people come to my site and browse other sites like the BBC with the link that i provided

The "People Online" count includes all recent visitors within the last 15 minutes (default). In other words, the people online includes all unique IP addresses that have visited your site within the last 15 minutes.
