Template Problem

I am having a problem with the templates on the news script. I am using IPB 2. When I try to add a style to the templates for certain parts like quote and code I doesn't show after being executed by the script.

If I wanted to add a different font or color or other pieces of HTML it doesn't work. I tried to see if it would work if I edited some of the script's files but that didn't work. I either got an error or it remained the same.

It just displays in the same style as the rest of the post text throught the script like this:

This appears to be a problem introduced by a recent version of the control panel not saving the changes on some systems.

I will track it down and fix it when I get a chance.
