Multiple domains

I get this error when trying to execute a multiple domain search. On the multiple domain search page (http://web-page-development.com/whoi...pleWhoisSearch) there are no check boxes for extensions...should there be? ..or should you type them in the big box?

I tried adding <td>[[tld-checkboxes]]</td> to the multiple TLD template, but it just displayed [[tld-checkboxes]] on the screen instead of teh actual check boxes.

On that page just typing them into the big box is enough.

For example:

mydomain.com
otherdomain.com
anotherdomain.net


could be a single multiple domain search.

Additional Information Regarding searches:

Actually, the script doesn't require extensions to be selected in the single domain search either, but they are there as they are much more user friendly. Thus, entering "something.com" with the extension ".com" in the single domain search will return results of "something.com" (which is the intended search) rather than the incorrect "com.com".

At the same time, the script should also correct for subdomains:

mysub.somedomain.com will actually search for somedomain.com.

So do not worry ... your users are likely to get the intended outcome no matter how much they mess up the search. Just as long as the enter extensions in one the multiple domain search.

The multiple domain search does not currently have extension functionality for parsing. HOWEVER, it should still be able to handle extensions. Thus, if you really want extensions of that multiple domain search page, then just copy the HTML generated from the single domain page concerning the TLDs into the multiple domain page template.

Kind of a hassle, but it should work all the same, as the multiple domain search uses the same function as the single domain search. The only difference is that the multiple domain search does not by default pass in any ext0, ext1, ext2... input variable names that represent TLDs selected.

I used your installed script and it worked fine for me.

Example multiple domain search:

example.com
some-domain.net
other.org

Ok---Monday cobwebs - now I remeber what I changed to make it work. I had to enable the "buy mode". With it disabled, so that all you get is the whois report, I would get the error noted in previous posts. With "buy mode" enabled it seems to work fine. I just modified what I wanted the template for the buy mode results to display and went with it. Thanks again for checking it out.

Well, I actually may have been causing the error the whole time...go figure :unsure:

If I type in several domains (getting in the habit of hitting the enter key after each one), I actually hit the enter key after the last one I enter which puts the cursor on the next line, but I didn't type anything. I guess the script interpreted the blank line as an improper domain name format and gave me the error listed above.
