Re-installation problem

Unfortunately due to our webhost migrating sites to a new server, my forum-news feed has been destroyed.
So I am reinstalling from scratch to get it running again.

However having got everything in and trying to log into the admin panel to put the settings right I have come across a problem...

My user name and password are fine, I have checked them and they do allow me to log in, however when i click on ANY option on the control panel to change things, I am sent BACK to the log in screen, upon rentering my username and password i go back to the control panel and each time i click an option I am sent back to log in again.

Bottom line is, I am unable to alter anything and so cannot get my news feed running again.
Can anyone help?

I looked at this account and the problem here was a bad session.save_path setting. If anyone has similar problems they should contact their host.
