Currently I am working on version 2.0. As you can see by the version number, this is a complete rewrite of the old script and includes many new features.

Here is what has currently been implemented:
Multiple user-defined TLD searching
The whois script now supports multiple user-defined TLD searching. This popular feature can be found on such sites as www.register.com .

Easy Price Table
The new price table features easier customization through row / column specification and CSS templates. It also includes ability to only display specific domains.

Easy TLD Search
For multiple TLD search, acts similar to price table features.

Logs
The domain logs can now be customized to rotate every hour/day/month. The log format can also be customized. Default formats available include short format and long format (XML).

New Nameserver features
TLDs can now be mapped to multiple servers. Two different domain formats can be sent and completely customized in their request as well as support for two different expected responses. In this manner, all nameservers are supported.

More TLDs supported by default
While the server has always come with the most popular TLDs preloaded, many other TLDs could be supported. The new version comes with the servers preloaded (but disabled by default). This will allows sites using the script as a Whois script to offer their visitors access to more than 200 different TLDs. As always, more TLDs can easily be added to the script.

Control Panel
The control panel is what is currently holding up the release of the script. It is absolutely necessary as the new script config format has many more features than the old script. The control panel will have basic username / password protection, the ability to edit config / template files (add extensions, nameservers, etc).

No release date set as of this moment.
